With it being the holiday season, not everyone can afford gifts for their children. The Wellington Noon Lions Club is collecting toy donations and money to help out.

For anyone that needs assistance, forms can be picked up at the Sumner County CASA office, 120 E. 9th, or at Jane Cole's Famer Insurance Office, 118 E. Harvey, and returned no later than noon on Dec. 15.

Unwrapped toys can be dropped off at several locations across town:

Anders Chiropractic
Free Will Baptist
Security State Bank
Triumph Accessory Services
Farm Bureau
Barbara Jon's
Sumner Regional Medical Center
Advance America
Chew Plumbing
Frazer's Mens Fashions
Oak Tree Inn and Penny's Diner
Auburn Salon
Reliable Rentals
Sears
Daylight Donut Shop
Wal-Mart
No. 7 Coffee House

Don't forget about the Christmas Parade taking place downtown this evening in Wellington. It's going start at 5 p.m. At 4th Street, and make its way up Washington to about eighth street. The whole community is invited to that and to the Community Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. In Heritage Park. Find out more about these events and more on the latest episode of Chamber Chatter, which can be viewed on sutv.com in the “As Seen on Channel 55” section.
