Beginning today (Dec.3) in Wellington is the Holiday Open House event, that will run through Sunday, Dec. 6. Local businesses across town are inviting people in to see what they have to offer. It's a chance to look local, shop local and eat local, plus much more.
Highlights of the festivities include: The return of the Christmas Parade downtown at 5 p.m. On Friday, the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree will follow at 6 p.m. “Christmas of the Heart” Dance Performance at 2 p.m. On Saturday in the Memorial Auditorium, the first United Methodist Church Bell Choir Concert wraps things up on Sunday.
That was just a few of the many goings-on, the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce has the complete schedule posted on their website and on Facebook, as well as at the chamber office.
On Sunday, December 6, will be Beta Sigma Phi sorority Christmas Around the Town home tour from 1 to 3 p.m. There are four locations to visit. Tickets are $10 and are available at Edit and the State Farm office. All proceeds will go to helping local children during the holidays.
